Frequently Asked Questions

When are you available for bookings?
Glad you asked! Please
view the calendar to get an idea of booking times/when I'm in your area!

Do you have/are you able to do studio shots?
- I don't have a studio set up like what some of the professional studios. I prefer to shoot 'on site' outdoors. But I can come up with something if you really need an indoor shot.

Why can't I purchase your figure skating photos?
- The only events I've attended are USFSA sanctioned events. They have strict guidelines on who can and cannot profit from the photography. They have contracts with ABC, ESPN and NBC that prohibits anyone else from making money off of photos.

But, I'm a figure skater, and those are photos of me.
- That's awesome! You can obtain any of my photos of yourself for no charge. Email me and we can work out what you need, if you want them printed I can set up an account and you can order them yourself and no money will go to me.

I still want you to have something.
- I won't get myself in trouble considering I'd love to one day work in television concerning figure skating events. I will, however, settle for an autograph on one of my pictures! (And bragging rights to show the photo off!)

I'm a webmaster and would like to use your photos.
-  If you're looking at using my work on an official athlete's site, send me an email and I'll work with you as best I can. All other sites may purchase a one time digital copyright for a small fee (non-figure skating).

Do you have a military discount?
- I have many family members who are vets or who served. I am very thankful and proud of the men and women who served, and continue to serve. We can talk about either getting a free product or taking some off of the price. I'm willing to work with you to give you what you want, it's the least I can do.

What should I wear?
- For a portrait session the less busy the attire the better. Casual is fine, but a busy print can really take the focus off of you and that sort of defeats the purpose.

Are you digital or film?
- I use both, though mainly digital. I can go back to film if you so desire, however the price will be a bit higher as it's more expensive to process and print.

What about Black and White photography?
- I am capable and willing to work with you to give you the prints you want.

Do you do pet photography?
- I will be honest, I have no training in this style. I do allow pets in portraits, however, and will do my best to capture the spirit of your pet.
